I am not a expert fisher but have fished Kitimat quite a few times over the last six years. The best place for tackle is Bradley's. The folks that run it are top notch and have gone out of their way to help us. We have fished for chinook, pinks and chum at various times through the summer. Mostly settled on jigs - black and green for chinook and pink for pinks. Chum seem to take anything. Lots of places to fish but there are four of us and so access is important. Have had great luck righ in town underneath the vehicle bridge or at the boat launch at the campground. I am sure experienced fishermen would laugh at us but we have fun, catch some fish and enjoy the scenery. Not heading back this year as I am a little afraid that all of the lng activity might ruin the solitude but hoping not. We have loved it out there and I am sure you will too. If you want any other info pm me and I will try to help.
