Uncontrolled harvesting is a terrible idea
If they gave each band/tribe/ settlement a defined number of tags I would be all for it.
Agreed, why can't the numbers of animals harvested by Metis be controlled so everyone is on a bit more level playing field and to weed out the "few bad apples" that will kill everything they can because of "a sticker"! Wolf predation and uncontrolled harvest by FN's has already caused large decreases in ungulates in many of the crown land WMU's, now this?

Who is going to monitor and police the registration below when there is no control on who is out hunting at any given time??

Registration - for the purposes of conservation and management of the following species, all persons, including Métis harvesters, must register the kill of each of these animals in person and submit certain parts. Refer to the annual Hunting Guide for information on registration.

I also agree with the above post, what's going to be left for my kids to hunt in the next few years with no controls in place?
