its ridiculous if you ask me. My kids are 1/32 metis blood and are qualified to get their metis cards whenever the wife and i want to apply. That would give my wife and kids more hunting rights than i have.
Culturally there hasn't been an emphasis on hunting/trapping/fishing in my wifes family for nearly 80 years. My kids will be raised to follow game regulations, put in for draws and purchase licenses even if its not required. There needs to be a limit at some point.
Special treatment for various members of an "equal" society is poisonous. I dont want that for my kids.
