What do you use for trout on a still line / tip up if you can't use bait?

Thanks for the help!
Tube jigs are the perfect do nothing jigs,if it's breezy rig up something to catch the wind to give a bit of tip movement. I use a pc of cardboard, tooth pick and attach it to the tip with some tape or rubber bands (just watch that you don't take away from the flex of the tip)the other thing I would suggest is put a stinger on,the bullies will mouth what ever you put on all day long with out you Knowing it ,so adding a trailing hook pays off. Tip ups won't work for this but a bell attached to the rod is all I use.
