certainly, can't beat the floats. but i really enjoyed the 2-3 weeks prior to open water. it was sure easy to tell where they lived. subs/colony traps moped up in the runs aswell as baited sets, under the ice. also the huts/push ups.
still enjoying it now. have to get through spring, too look forward to fall. with some steelhead fishing in between.
