X2 on the accuracy issue, and good luck finding any on the shelves regularly.

For a poultry $280.00 and by adding a $120.00 scope you can pick up a NEF single shot and a Bushnell 4-12X Banner scope. Try one in 22-250Rem, and the 40 rnd box of Winchester 45gr's. Then you will have a Coyote rifle.
But if your intent on plugging away a coyotes with your 30'06, I'd simply use what shoots best and deal with the holes in the hides, and being this late in the season chances are you are'nt gonna get much for the hides because they will be getting rubbed.
