For the most part I would agree with you baticus but I'll play devils advocate here. In eastern Ontario there are bands/settlements with 100k members who are all new within the last 5 to 8 years.
They are taking membership from anyone and everyone. If that happens here it will be a problem.
I'm mostly concerned with how Metis nation of Alberta will keep it so people aren't gaming the system. My guess is that it will become a total crap shoot.
