Default Boat help

A lot of the 12 foot boats are rated for 10hp. I have a Lund WC-12 with a 9.9 hp Merc on it and it gets up on plane with two adults. If I have myself and two of my late teens kids (and all our gear) it barely gets on plane. I also have an older SSV-16 with a 25 hp on it and it has no issue getting up on plane with 3 adults. I can actually pull a couple kids on a tube with it in a pinch.

If you’re looking to use your 15 hp outboard I would say you are looking at a 14 foot utility aluminum boat to pair it with. Keep in mind that some of these will have a 15 inch transom while others will have a 20 inch transom, so choose the right one for your outboard.

I didn’t see Princecraft or Crestliner (whose utility boats are made by Princecraft) listed in your original post. Take a look at them as options as well.
