The fish was taken (and released) fairly close to your home and mine. It weighed about 7 lbs. and the pic was to show his big hooked jaw and coloration.
The browns in Alberta are all decendents of fish brought over from Scotland (Loch leven) or from Germany). Some anglers still refer to Alberta browns as Lochs or Loch levens.
