I have caught them at the trestle after the spill. That being said I have not seen any of them in the winter for a few years now.

They say that a chemical that leaking into the lake during the oil spill prevented their eggs from hatching for multiple years.

The comment about rocky shorelines makes sense. The trestle is quite rocky and is next to a reed bed.

Finger crossed that they are making a comeback. They are so fun to catch in open water.
