Undaunted Courage: the story of Lewis And Clark discovering the west. Really good read and learned a lot. What they went through was pretty amazing.
Alone in the Wilderness: story about Dick Proennke who at @50 years of age moved into remote Alaska to build a cabin by hand with tools he mostly built by hand. Pretty interesting read. He also filmed most of his exploits in 6mm film. There are two movies that go with the book as well. I much preferred the book. His cabin still stands to this day.
