I’ve ran a few VX1’s over the years, I still have 2 of them one is a 2-7, the other a 1-4.
For the price point they are pretty hard to beat. The single biggest knock I have with them is a very stiff power changing ring. I had to spend a few nights in front of the tv exercising them otherwise at -20 they were pretty much a fixed power scope.
Is the glass as clear as a $1000-$1500 Zeiss or similar, no.
Is the glass as good or better as a similarly priced Vortex or Bushnell, yes.
They also have a very generous eye relief as well.
