I get the point you're making, but "premier", I don't think so.....
I don't defend the Oilers often, but to be fair, I think it's safe to say every single team in the NHL missed out on him except the Blues. Two players in the top five in that draft aren't even in the NHL with Koekkoek at No. 10 being a fringe guy (22 games in the NHL last season with time split in Syracuse).
