That may well be the case, but I think it’s the significant consensus that he should not be walking free after having demonstrated what he is capable of when he has an episode. He’s presently a walking experiment for the psychiatric and pharmaceutical communities, who will bear absolutely zero consequence if their experiment fails and he re-offends.
Imagine how this rubs the surviving friends and family of his victim.
