after decades of trying to fix scratched cd's I used Turtle Wax, although similar rubbing compounds will work. Rub it in a circular motion until all the scratches disappear. Tried this on one of the kids video games that was unreadable and no longer available for purchase. After trying every trick out there over the past 30 years, this one worked perfectly.
