Excellent that you dismantle them to clean. Don't use an oil to lubricate the moving or sliding surfaces as they will freeze up in cold weather. Besides, oil tends to hang on to dirt. I would recommend a graphite spray on lubricant that you can get from CT to lube your internal parts. Box locks are much easier to service than side locks.
