Yeah, I''ve had a problem with the one and only spool of Vanish. Used it for fly tippet and spinning gear leader. Seemed like great value at the time. Broke way easier than comparable mono, maybe it was a bad batch or it was old. Gave that up and bought the (ouch!) expensive tippet spools of FC. Even these weakened after a few years so I chucked 'em had to shelled out $$$ for new spools. Maybe the heat in the vehicle kills them.
Other Berkley products are fine. I used Trilene for my light spinning, Big Game for sal****er and Fireline for when I need to let out a lot of line. But no Berkley in my flyfishing arsenal.
