Yes I noticed that about fancy cordless drills that is why I store the batteries a cool place at 3/4 charge like recommended. So far my Ridgid lifetime warranty batteries are on their 6 th year and still going strong. I was willing to take a chance and if I have to replace a battery in five to ten years so be it. No big deal I think I can afford it as I do not make $800 month payments on a truck so I need to spend my money on something. $250 bucks over 5 years equals $4.16 a month. lol
