I've always maintained Gordon Lightfoot is the best Canadian singer/songwriter we have ever seen. Hint....songs showing his best "writing" were never big hits.
Gord Downie couldn't hold a candle for Gordon Lightfoot. Different era so I won't expect anyone under 50 to agree.

and....what leader(?) of a G7 country blubbers in front of the news cameras about a lost entertainer?...pathetic. State funeral?...come on.
