Frozen
Got caught last year with the black 1/2 full and frozen solid.
Hot tub was full of hot water though. Poured as much hot in as I could. And then some over the gate valve till I could get it to open ( that did not take much ). An hour or so later it flushed through. I suspect the hot water in the closed tank stayed really warm.
Be careful with the heat gun.
