Fawn survival
Have to strongly agree with dmcbride!!! A fawn has almost a zero chance of survival through a winter without its mother. I understand the supplementary tags being issued but the populations have to be very closely monitored for this to continue. Case in point WMU 523.. allowing a supplemtal harvest of 3 mulie does on a single tag. 3 does harvested with fawn at foot plus 3 unborn fawns? There is no way this should be justified for more than a year and under very close monitoring. I have to add I am an avid hunter but it makes one weep to see a healthy population meets its demise by mismanagement! I am also glad to see that this tag was discontinued and only 1 deer allowed now on draw!!
