I spend more time at a range and shooting than most. For many people 150 yards should be considered their cutoff. But I also know guys that can consistently put rounds where they need to be much much further. I see comments about "bench shooting not being hunting" of course its not, I havent seen to many concrete benches and SEB rests in the field, but the fact that is pointed out shows what the person understands of the long range practice and what some people do to prepare for the way they hunt.

There are some guys that shoot at least one day a week, practice from field positions, and even practice shooting in their hunting locations in the spring/summer. To think that xxx yards is unethical to someone who practices year round to perfect something would be foolish.
