There was a guy charged with stealing 40 million dollars worth of maple syrup in Quebec.
Turned out, in order to keep prices high, The syrup farmers were warehousing a huge surplus of the stuff. The man in charge of the warehouse, was doing the old add a little water to the booze and mom and dad wouldn't notice trick for a long time and it added up.
