I wasn't too big on the revolver's yet but that will probably come.

So what do you guys think is a reliable, good shooting handgun that is in the 1k dollar range that would be decent for a first.
I picked up a FNS-9 Long slide a while back. $500. Comes in .40 as well.
Read lots of reviews and vids (hickock45 has a great review) before purchase.
Great gun! Reliable. Accurate. Easy takedown. Came with 3 mags and two varying size backstraps. Really fun gun to shoot! Zero issues!
Own a Colt Competition 1911. $1200. After a couple hundred rounds everything seemed to fine tune. Really enjoyable short gun.
In the end, look for a gun with a reliable reputation in your price range and check them out for how they fit you.
