9/11/2015 Bull
Just got out of the truck to spray down and could hear the elk bugling in the distance. A little over an hour later worked in closer to a herd bull and got between him and my hunting partner chirping like a lost cow and this satellite bull came in fast and loud. First arrow hit him at about 20 yards and he bolted forward stopping at less than 5 yards but there was some brush between me and him, still slipped a second arrow in at a hard quartering away angle...he busted away hard but didn't go more than 75-80 yards. Bit of work to get him out, skinned and into the cooler, but all worth the experience and the fine table fare that my family will enjoy over the next year.
