I like building on Savage rifles and just helped put together a 6.5PRC that is an outstanding shooter .
The 6.5 PRC is a little less velocity than the 6.5 WSM and the 6.5SAUM wildcats I Used to shoot but you don't have to make cases with the PRC.
If I were looking for a dedicated long range elk and moose cartridge I would look elsewhere but he 6.5 PRC will do it all out to 400 to 500 meters for you with no issues .
