I'm not sure what that stuff they are using now is but its not oil. When they first put it on in the morning they put it on really thick and the road is horrible for quite some time after that.
The stuff will stick to your truck and I heard its very corrosive .
One time I had to drive through it after they just put it on the road. What a job washing it off the under side of my truck.
