OP did you replace the fuel filter after it gelled?

Buddy has an 04 (but the same LLY engine as the 05) and his started like crap below 0 until he got a new glowplug control module.
I had two 06 Duramax trucks, both would start with no issue at -20 if need be, not plugged in. One even had bad injectors and would start fine (albeit it’d run like crap).
