I'm probably going to get out a couple of times this spring.

My set up I'm sure won't be endorsed by snow goose purists, but it's a great excuse to get out and have some fun with the dog.

I only have a small amount of snow decoys, and it's literally been decades since they've been used, but what the heck, it only takes 1 flock to fly by for a look, to make it worth while.

Last fall I had a flock of a thousand come into a small spread of Canada decoys just east of Edmonton, so you never know. Not going to shoot any from the couch!

I remember growing up in Manitoba, all we used to get where I lived (Interlake) was snow geese. Over the last 20 years, the flyway seems to have shifted, zero snow geese and millions of Canadas.

There is nothing like having hundreds or even thousands of Snows circling overhead ready to funnel down into a field...that sound and sight is unforgettable!
