Search for missing Coal Lake boaters temporarily called off

Camrose residents Everett Westerneng, 19, and Dallas Simons, 26, failed to return home after setting out on a fishing trip Friday night.
RCMP received a report of the missing pair early Saturday morning and launched a search effort that came to include family and 200 volunteers.
Searchers found the duo’s capsized four-metre boat, tackle box and other personal items on Saturday.
Family and friends of the missing men continued their search efforts Tuesday at the lake, about 70 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.
Neither man is believed to have been wearing a life-jacket.
