I really like the ones made by St.crouix and fenwick.... The St. Crouix has lots of backbone and a bit less sensitive than the fenwick... The fenwick is lots of fun to fight lakers on in 80 to 100 feet of water... I personally like a medium heavy action rod for lakers and pike... Heavy action rods take away from the fight and I feel like I'm just winching the fish in... Especially with a bait cast reel.
