The HT Ice Blue rods are good for Lakers. The 28 inch rods are good for fishing in ice shelters, while the 34" are good for outside shelters.
These rods will run you between 30 and 35 bucks each.
They hold up to abuse, cheap and provide good action for fish over 6/7 lbs.
