So went to Pigeon to the P.P. drop off, 8" of measured solid ice all the way out to the drop off.....slippery as hell with the rain and no snow on the lake. Not a fish in sight in 5hrs....only saw one...and it was dead on the bottom clear as day through the ice. Decided to try Battle(first time ever)...7" of ice with a lot more snow...but at least we had grip. Caught a few jack...2-3lb range....nothing special....but after the Pigeon experience it was golden. Also spoke with a guy that came out at Pigeon and said he came from Mulhurst and nothing there either.
