Default Cwd

Great post all, we really need to get all information out there. I was fortunate enough to have Camp Wainwright tags this year and was shocked at the numbers. I harvested this Mule deer in October in WMU 232 and it was positive for CWD. Moving forward I will be submitting heads and not consuming the meat till I get the results back. Here is what I saw

- very little fat content seen when skinning
- the hide was pulling apart in my hand with very little effort

My test results where back in 3 weeks, best guess was because I harvested the buck early in the season. I did have to take the head to the downtown office because the freezers were not yet put out. IMO I know it’s very inconvenient but till we know more about the effects on humans I’m playing on the safe side.
