Check out Grohmann Knives of Nova Scotia. I don't think you can beat a #1 or a #4. They are an adaptation of the centuries-old roach-belly design that was preferred by fur traders and mountainmen whose lives depended on their knives and who subjected designs to the ultimate in field-testing. And they're Canadian made.
