Ive shot more mule deer(and whitetail to) within 500 meters of a road then I have over 500 meters from the road. Mule deer have been mostly private land, but for WT I hunt public. The roads going through thick brush give them lots of feed in the winter and make easy travel routes.
For Sheep Im curious to see how many guys are out there packing it. For deer hunting, if I get a mile or two off the roads and quad trails I dont see anyone.
