CBC who?
In all honesty, it's not the end of the world to lose the song, but, having said that it always brings back some pretty good memories of watching hockey back when I was a kid. Especially when we were at my Grandma's. We'd play flipper hockey with my uncles old game until we heard that theme song and then we'd go watch hockey night in Canada.
For the small beans she was asking for it was an easy decision for anyone with any business sense to keep it. Now how much do you think they'll spend trying to replace it, and I guarantee they will not find anything close. Just another reason why we should defund the CBC. Take away the billions of dollars we give to these morons and they would soon disintegrate into the dust. And I for one would be dancing on their grave. (and I hate dancing)
And if Stompin Tom is as big of a jerk as you guys say he is, he sure as hell does not deserve a place in Canadian traditions.
