Just because it's a law doesn't make it right. By passing laws that are fundamentally flawed, like C-68, you lose the respect of the people that you are expected to represent and serve. Loss of respect means fewer and fewer people will respect the laws and in turn fewer and fewer will follow them. Rightly so!
If they ban guns outright, I will lose all respect for government and the laws they create. 'Nuff said.
