After much searching and trial and error, I've settled on a Damsel pattern.
Has the action I'd hoped for, plus easy to access materials, oh yeah, the fish love it!!!!!! It is an amalgamation of all the Damsel patterns in
"Fly Patterns for Still Waters" by
Philip Rowley.
