I like covers as it makes someone go the extra mile to start snooping. If they see something without a cover it’s a quick in/out. If it has a cover they can’t readily see what’s there so they’re taking a higher risk that they go to the effort and find nothing. I always try to park under/near a light and never backed up to an alley or street.
