McGregor forms poorly,,, if I were chancing the ice right now it would be 100 yards south of the boat launch,, but the early sketchiest ice at the best fishing is off the north dam. A plank or a long light ladder would be needed to access the ice as it takes a long time for ice to form along the rocks. With the west south westerly winds, there should be a pressure ridge forming up against it pretty quick, which can be dangerous, even for fishing in two feet of water.
