Ya, it does likely take a year or two, or even three, to get that done these days. And it isn't cheap.
I get to actually put mine together today. have rings, have new scope, have a box of ammo to set it up with. Weather is reasonable for tomorrow. I'll go do a 25yd boresight at the indoor range today and head out to the farm tomorrow with some ladder rounds to chrono it and see what sort of barrel it has on it. Would be nice to get a fast one again. Putting a Z3 2.5-10 on it with the BRX reticle. Try it with a 140 Rem factory PSP, a 140 Nos BT with WW760 and RL19 to see what it does with those to start with. Had a Magnetospeed for a couple of yrs now, finally get to try that out as well. Wouldn't work on the DR, so, I'll try it out on this. Also check it against the Oehler.
