They will be out soon, if winter doesn't return.
Going back through this thread gives a good indication of when morels start in different areas.
As a temperature condition, Morels usually start growing when the ground temp. is over 10 Celcius and the air temp. is consistently over 16 degrees during the day with nighttime temp not going lower than 5 degrees.
Lots of great picking opportunities for Black morels this year. Go to one of last years burns.
