My older Barnes manual was saying to use 46gr as a max load and alliant just lists 46gr for a modern action so that’s probably where i’ll Start next. I was hoping to try it on deer this year and I still might. The drop at this speed at 300m was Ridiculous and I was sited in for 200yrds.
My load for my rifles, for the 129gr Accubond LR is 50 grams of R-22. That provides about 2750fps in my Sako Bavarian Carbine, and around 2830fps in my T-3 Varmint. My friend is using 49gr or R-22 with the 130gr Accubond, in his Tikka, for right around 2800fps. We both use Lapua cases, and case life is excellent. He used his Tikka to fill my moose tag with a partner license last year, and the moose ran about 50ft and collapsed dead after a lung shot.
