When we head out to the west coast for salmon fishing, we usually each put in $50 per species and $50 for the most overall. Usually adds up to a couple thousand and is a great bonus after a week of fishing. The bets arent usually something you are thinking about when you are fishing but it is all in good fun.
If we are going with smaller groups of guys to the lake or some place near by, we usually bet with beers at the bar later or a simple $20 to the first person to catch one.
