I read your post twice, just to make sure I was reading right...why would anyone need to speed load/unload when getting in/out of a vehicle ?
Have you never been driving down a trail, power line, cutline or across a field to reach your hunting area and seen a deer, moose or elk .Once the vehicle stops,a mature buck or bull elk will usually be thinking about leaving in a hurry. If you can get out of the vehicle, then load and shoot quickly, you can often take the animal before it runs off.The extra time lost due to the unnecessary floorplate can result in a lost shot opportunity.
And no,I am not talking about shooting from a maintained road,I am talking about shooting after leaving the vehicle where it is legal to do so.
Then again you might be sheep or deer hunting when a bear appears too close for comfort.I like the ability to quickly change my magazine for one loaded with bullets more suitable for larger, more dangerous game.
