I was not able to draw even a 15 pound bow for years due to shoulder/neck nerve damage.
Just getting back into it now, but am good for only a few shots with the 40 pounder before things go to hell.
I know three really good traditional archers who had to go right off for a few years then started back with super light bows.
None of them shoot as nearly as heavy as they used to , but are almost as accurate as they were before they were injured.
They can still put a deer on the ground however with the first shot....
