I’m sure he is a great person, I wouldn’t know. Asking permission is pestering ? Lots of people in your neck of the woods give me permission without issues ! I made a comment on the amount of elk on the property, that’s all. Tell him to post a sign up to not bother asking to hunt ! Simple.
I’ve never bothered him, I was told by his neighbors not to bother, so I don’t.
