I think this is probably true.
Might have something to do with a discomfort bringing the string close to the face if he's new to archery. I shoot with the string touching the corner of my mouth and tip of my nose. If he's holding it way right of that then maybe Cat is bang on. Wouldn't take much either. Just having a wider jaw could affect that
