Sorry, I missed the part asking about the factory scopes. Most factory scopes are junk. At least the unlabelled/unbranded ones. But you don't need to spend a lot of money on one either. I am using a Pursuit brand on mine and my sons (Bass Pro house brand), and I know a couple of people using the Cabela's brand ones as well. You will gain more from spending more obviously, I am just satisfied with what I have and what I use it for.
